Join us as celebrate the opening of our latest exhibit with our guests, Tim Richards and Neal Personeus, the talented and creative team that brought the 19th century Pamet Harbor alive.
175 years ago, Pamet Harbor was one of the leading fishing and maritime centers in the United States. A new exhibit at the Highland House Museum tells the story of that extraordinary period. In 1848, 45 vessels including the leading fishermen of the country sailed out of the harbor. Truro was home to captains of the world’s most prestigious sailing ships, and businesses flourished on and around four wharves. The exciting new exhibit features a model of the harbor and panels describing the harbor, the town and Truro’s place as a leading maritime center.
