Calling All Pie-Makers!
Our Pie Baking & Tasting Contest has quickly become a favorite end-of-summer tradition in Truro, and we’re delighted to welcome bakers back for our Third Annual Pie Baking & Tasting Contest on Sunday, September 6. If you have a favorite homemade pie you’d like to share, we’d love to have you join us! Your pies will be enjoyed by neighbors, friends, and visitors, with one pie entered in the tasting competition and the other helping support the Truro Historical Society through our silent auction.
Contest Instructions
- Bake two identical 9-inch homemade pies—one for the tasting competition and one for our silent auction.
- We’ll provide the pie plate for your silent auction entry.
- Please drop off your pies at the Highland House Museum between 10:00 and 11:00 AM so we have time to prepare before the event begins.
- The contest will take place in our beautiful Main Exhibition Hall, the room that once served as the Highland House hotel’s dining room, where guests gathered to enjoy meals overlooking the Atlantic more than a century ago.
Thank you for sharing your baking talents and helping make this community tradition even sweeter. We look forward to another wonderful afternoon of delicious pies, friendly competition, and celebrating the end of another Cape Cod summer.
