Thank you to the voters of Truro for approving Community Preservation Act funding for the next phase of the renovation of the Highland House Museum. It is heart warming to know that the people of Truro understand the importance of preserving the Highland House as Truro’s Museum. This next phase of renovation will include the installation of an elevator and an upgraded security system.
The Truro Historical Society, which manages the Highland House Museum and the Cobb Archive, works year round to honor and preserve the history of Truro and the Outer Cape. We are a non-profit organization (separate from the Truro Historical Commission, which is a part of Truro town government) and depend on the generosity of our members, donors and business sponsors to carry out our mission.
To show our appreciation, you are invited to an OPEN HOUSE at the Cobb Archive on Friday, May 17th from 3-5 PM. If you’d like to learn more about the Highland House Museum, the Cobb Archive, and meet some of the people who share your interest in the history of Truro and the Outer Cape, please join us for refreshments and conversation. We hope to see you there!
