#48 Joe Fiorello

Joe Fiorello has been a sculptor, painter and printmaker on the outer cape for more than 40 years.
Working with found steel, stone, and organic materials or discarded building materials often rescued from the Truro dump, construction sites or on the streets of Boston and Sarasota.
A graduate of Ringling College or Art and Design and University of Massachusetts at Lowell, Joe also attended Massachusetts College of Art. Joe’s work has been selected to be shown at galleries, universities and museums in Boston, New York, Sarasota and Tampa as well as in Kyoto, Tokyo, and Sakai City, Japan. Joe was included in a sculpture invitational at the UN in New York City. His sculpture is in many private, corporate and
institutions collections. He has received several certificates of merit including Best in Show at several juried Exhibits.
Represented in the past by Berta walker Gallery, Cortland Jessup Gallery, Robyn Watson Gallery and The School House Gallery in Provincetown, and previously at the Voorhees Gallery in Sarasota.
Joe was a board member of Art Target in Sarasota and has been in several juried and invitational exhibits at Cambridge Art Association, Sarasota Art Association and Provincetown Art Association and Museum. He has been an artist/trustee at
Provincetown Art Association and Museum since 2002 where he has been a juror and he has curated many exhibits there including many artist solo exhibits, several Sculpture Invitational and both the first, “Founding Members” exhibit and the last, “Contemporary Artists” exhibit celebrating the centennial of PAAM. Joe has been active at Castle Hill for almost all of its 40 years, as a student, a volunteer and as an associate board member.
Joe supports himself working in the restoration of historic homes and period furniture.

HISTORIC TRURO: Landmarks and Legends Self-Guided Tours

A joint project of the Truro Historical Commission and the Truro Historical Society, this guidebook was created to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the landing of the Mayflower in Cape Cod Bay in 1620 and is an update of the 1984 guide that celebrated the 275th anniversary of the founding of Truro.
