Roberta Kane Lema grew up in Truro and along with her brother, Thomas Kane, was raised by her grandmother. Roberta went to the Truro Central School and Provincetown High School, and she spent her free time as a child enjoying the outdoors, taking care of the family animals, berry picking, going to the beaches with her friends, and making jellies and jams.
As an adult, Roberta worked in the Truro Post Office after spending some time living in Boston. She was featured in the Truro Historical Society’s Living Legacy Project which honored people who grew up in Truro and lived here as adults. Now Roberta is the owner of Will O’ The Wisp Art Gallery in Truro, a unique shop of art, woodcrafts, handmade jewelry and pottery from Cape Cod artists. They also carry local jellies, jams and honey.
