On Sunday, July 28, 2019, kids and their parents explored the stories of some of the area’s most famous shipwrecks with local expert Dan Sanders as their guide. The group gathered at the Highland House Museum to see the Shipwreck Room. Then they visited the Truro cemetery where Captain Wilhelm Kortling is buried. In 1872, Kortling, captain of the Frances, rescued his crew and then died of hypothermia three days later.
