A Historical Tour of Truro Landscapes from the Archives and Databases of the Cape Cod National Seashore Mapping Program. The Cape Cod National Seashore Mapping program documents the geography of scientific studies taking place in Truro and throughout the outer Cape. The acclaimed journalist, documentarian, and Truro denizen returns this summer with his latest film, The Last Patrol (2014). The film ponders the disorientation and difficulty soldiers face in disengaging from war -- in this case the war in Afghanistan -- and reverting to "normal life," and the struggles of conscience they inevitably have to confront. Kathryn Miles grew up on the Midwestern prairie, where she cultivated a strong desire to be the next Laura Ingles Wilder. When that role continued to elude her, she turned her attention elsewhere and became a cub reporter covering local oddities like Zamboni drivers, pumpkin chunkers, and barge captains.
