Clams — Past, Present, and Future, with Parker Small
Once, Truro’s bay teemed with clams, an abundant and essential part of the local landscape and way of life. Today, that population is steadily vanishing.
Join Parker Small—of the family that once owned the historic Highland House resort—for an engaging and timely conversation about the changing ecology of our coastal waters. Drawing on local knowledge and lived experience, Small will explore the role of bivalves in our marine ecosystem and examine how warming ocean temperatures are affecting their survival.
This program invites reflection on both environmental change and the history of Truro’s shores. Part of our free summer series, all are welcome; donations are gratefully appreciated.
