Lifesavers and Lifesaving Stations of Cape Cod with Dick Ryder
We are happy to host Cape Cod National Seashore’s ranger, Dick Ryder for a lively and informative talk about the lifesaving stations and the lifesavers of Cape Cod’s Outer Cape.
Dick was born at Cape Cod Hospital, and graduated from Chatham High School. He spent 20 years in the Navy Medical Department. Dick has been a volunteer at the Old Harbor Life-Saving Station at Race Point for over twenty years and has written two books about that station. His program will show all 13 Life-Saving Stations that were once on Cape Cod, including the Highland Station, and contain a few stories along the way.
