I primarily paint with oil on board or canvas as well as Gouache and watercolor. I work outdoors as a Plein Aire painter as well as a studio artist in my North Truro studio. I have studied among many of the significant teacher artists on Cape Cod including Mary Giamarino, Joe Diggs, Pete Hocking, Rob Longley, to mention a few. They have influenced and supported me in my development as an artist.
My recent work is concerned with how life and our world seem to be on a transformative edge. I hope it informs and begin to transform the viewers’ appreciation of both what we notice, how we see it and how it impacts us, informs us and moves us.

I’ve made art since I could hold a pencil, but came to painting later in life. Art-making is a mostly solitary activity but there is little I find more satisfying than finding a piece I’ve made connects to someone else, and they want to live with it. I price my work to make it easy for people to incorporate original art into their homes and am open to commissions and inquiries.

I am a painter working in both Provincetown and Connecticut. I work Primarily in oils and gouache, and enjoy both plein air and studio work. I primarily create small works as I like to paint a scene quickly to capture the energy of the moment and make a strong simple statement.
