Joan Rogers came to the Cape in 1972 after graduating from Central Michigan University. She married Charlie Rogers and together they raised two sons. She opened and taught in a private preschool for twelve years, then managed the family business, Conwell Lumber/ Ace Hardware in Provincetown until retiring in 2009. Having free time to pursue her lifelong love of the arts, she discovered an affinity for white-line printing. Her subject matter is inspired by the numerous photographs she has taken throughout her lifetime. She now lives in North Truro and is a member of TTG-The Truro Group, PAAM-Provincetown Art Association and Museum and Outer Cape White Line Printmakers.
