The acclaimed journalist, documentarian, and Truro denizen returns this summer with his latest film, The Last Patrol (2014). The film ponders the disorientation and difficulty soldiers face in disengaging from war — in this case the war in Afghanistan — and reverting to “normal life,” and the struggles of conscience they inevitably have to confront. These are issues of paramount concern to Mr. Junger, who was embedded with them in Afghanistan. After the showing of the movie, Mr.Junger will answer questions from the audience. This event is a fundraiser for the Truro Historical Society, Payomet Theater, and charitable organizations for veterans and war correspondents supported by Mr.Junger
Seating is reserved. Tickets — $25 (limited number) and $10, are on sale at the Payomet website.
