Historical Walking Tour of Corn Hill

Join Jay Vivian, an amateur local historian, for a brisk, two-mile history walk of Corn Hill. Vivian will lead the group to about a dozen stops as he describes historical events that occurred within a mile or two of Corn Hill. Events include the first European summer vacation in Truro, the loss of many of Truro’s men at sea in the early 1800s, the inter-war German glider school on Corn Hill, the completion of the train line to Provincetown, and the Pilgrims’ theft of the Payomet Indians’ seed corn.
